I'm a veterinary technician in Burlington, Vermont, about six years now at the same small animal clinic. This site is where I write about the two things I actually make time for outside of work, science fiction I'm reading and board games I'm playing, plus the occasional post about whatever else is going on. I read most nights before bed, usually forty minutes, no phone in the room. Games happen on weeknights around my kitchen table with my coworker Priya and our friend Marcus, so setup time matters to me more than almost anything else when I'm deciding what to bring to the table, because our windows are short and I'm up early for morning appointments. I grew up in central New York and moved out here for the job. I keep a running note on my phone during any campaign game tracking who did what, which probably says something about how I approach the reading log too.

Started this as a way to keep track of what I'd actually read and played instead of just half remembering it a month later. Still mostly that.
